Who uses the connection

The connection is for the operator’s own household. It is not offered as a public service. Questions about it can be sent to conryd@gmail.com.

Google information accessed

With the operator’s authorization, Home Assistant can access information and actions permitted by the Google permissions granted during setup. This may include information from authorized Nest devices, such as device state and events, and Google Calendar information, such as calendars and events. The exact access depends on the permissions approved in Google and the integrations configured in Home Assistant.

The connection also uses Google authorization information, including tokens, to maintain access until it is revoked or expires.

How the information is used and stored

Google information is used to show device and calendar information in Home Assistant and to run the operator’s chosen home automations. Home Assistant runs on the operator’s home server and may retain the information, configuration, and authorization tokens needed for these functions. Retention follows the Home Assistant configuration and its backups.

The operator does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. This informational website does not request Google account access or display private Nest or Calendar information.

Sharing and service providers

Google information is exchanged with Google to operate the authorized integrations. The operator does not intentionally share that information with unrelated people or services. This public website is hosted separately from the home server; its hosting provider may process basic technical information, such as an IP address, to serve pages and maintain security.

Control and removal

The operator can review or remove the Nest and Google Calendar integrations in Home Assistant. Google account access can also be revoked through Google Account connections. Removing an integration or revoking access stops future access; locally retained information or backups may need to be removed separately in Home Assistant.

Changes

This policy will be updated if the BliksemBox connection or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
